Code of Conduct

Every person working at the Nippon Shokubai Group will carry out business activities with commitment to the guiding principles below.

Mid-to-Long-Term Direction

Based on our Group Mission, we defined what our goal status in 2030 would be, and set up our Goals for FY 2024 and Standards for Behavior as milestones along the way. For the first three years (FY 2022–2024), we shall establish a mid-term management plan as a concrete plan of action, and focus on fulfilling it.

Goals for FY 2024

  1. To be a company that meets customers’ increasingly sophisticated needs, and that refines its technology to rapidly bring products to commercialization
  2. To be a company that works thoroughly to reduce the environmental impact of all production activity
  3. To be a company that pursues improved productivity through tireless ongoing work reforms and the utilization of digital technology
  4. To be a company that builds workplaces that make the most of diverse points of view and personal characteristics, where the abilities of each and every employee are on display
  5. To create a corporate culture of autonomy and independence, where people can learn, grow, and change on their own

Standards for Behavior

  • Sense of Ownership Employees shall understand what is expected of them in their roles, think and make proposals on their own initiative, and act proactively.
  • Planning Employees shall set clear deadlines, and incorporate the PDCA Cycle in their activities.
  • Execution Employees shall execute tasks and solve problems based on thorough discussions (communication).
  • Aspiration Employees shall tackle difficult challenges in a constructive manner.
  • Customer Relations Employees shall identify customer requests and work towards mutual growth.
  • Improving Skills Employees shall learn independently and increase their value.
  • Respect for Diversity Employees shall respect and acknowledge one another’s individuality.
