Since our establishment in 1953, Nippon Nyukazai Co., Ltd. has contributed to the sound development of society through the provision of chemical products that improve our living environments, and that help to conserve and clean the natural environment. Until recently, we have independently maintained our own Management Philosophy and Corporate Ethics Charter. However, with an eye on strengthening our group management, we have now adopted the Mission of the Nippon Shokubai Group, “TechnoAmenity: Providing prosperity and comfort to people and society, with our unique technology,” as the mission of Nippon Nyukazai. We will engage in our business activities toward the fulfillment of this goal.
Our company has three main pillars to its business: surfactants that capitalize on the emulsification technologies that we have developed since our establishment; glycol ethers, for which we offer the widest variety of products in the world; and amines, for which one of the applications is carbon dioxide absorbents that show promise toward preventing global warming. Across all of these three pillars, we provide products customized through our proprietary technologies. This is our strength.
We have set a company goal of becoming a company that creates compelling products and achieves sustainable growth, based on our desire to solve social issues, by 2030.
For our business development, we have designated digital technologies, lifestyles, and the environment as priority areas, where we shall strengthen and expand our business. Alongside this, we have set downstream development as a priority initiative, and we aim to offer new value to our customers by increasing the functionality of, and combining, our products.
To help address social issues, the Nippon Shokubai Group as a whole strives to achieve carbon neutrality. In addition, we are working on several key topics as part of our CSR activities, including health-conscious management, and encouraging active participation by women and seniors. In particular, with respect to health-conscious management, we have established the Kenko Kigyo Sengen (“Declaration to Be a Health-Conscious Company”) and acquired Kenko Yuryo Kigyo (Kin no Nintei) (“Gold-Level Certification for Excellence in Health-Conscious Management”) as of June 26, 2024. We continue to aim for ever-higher levels, and to make earnest efforts toward other CSR activities.
For our company as a chemical manufacturer, operational safety and stability is the foundation of our existence.
Based on the principle that safety must come first, our company has established an industrial health and safety policy, and promotes zero-accident and zero-disaster initiatives.
We thank you for your support, both past and future.
