Our Our Technical Research Division is composed of the Technical Research Center and the Research Administration Department.
\nThese units and their facilities are introduced below.<\/p>\n

Technology Research Center<\/h2>\n

The Technical Research Center is based in the R&D Center, which is located in the same site as our Kawasaki Plant.
\nIt is composed of Technical Development Dept., Application Development Dept., and New Business Development Dept., making a total of three units.<\/p>\n

Technical Development Department<\/h3>\n

This department mainly develops technologies to improve processes and support production for established products.
\nWe also investigate more efficient processes by not only utilizing our established technologies but also incorporating latest ones in order to supply our customers with our products that make their demands.<\/p>\n

Application Development Department<\/h3>\n

This department is developing new applications for existing and new products.
\nIn addition, we correspond immediately to customers’ requests for performance and applications, such as developing surfactants for polymerization using our products, additive-type resin modifiers using new monomers, or developing customized detergents based on the blending technical using our products as a main component.
\nTogether with customers, we develop products that will be desired at present to the near future and contribute to the society as soon as possible with our products.<\/p>\n

New Business Development Department<\/h3>\n

This department is creating new product lines with the viewpoint of environmental contribution, while leveraging our strengths and incorporating new technicals. We are also conducting a wide range of open innovation, aiming to transform our business portfolio by combining other companies’ technicals.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Research Administration Department<\/h2>\n

This department has three functions below to support research activities, which enable various activities of the Technical Research Center to be carried out smoothly and effectively.<\/p>\n

Research Strategy:<\/strong>Management of research projects at the Technical Research Center and supports for activities to connect research achievements to businesses.<\/span>
\nIntellectual Property: <\/strong>Inventions and research achievements created by the Technical Research Center are protected as intellectual properties (patents), and maintained and managed.<\/span>
\nResearch Management:<\/strong>Responsible for compliance with domestic and global laws and regulations related to chemical substances, maintenance and management of research facilities, and general research affairs.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Research Facilities<\/h2>\n

R&D Center<\/h3>\n

The R&D Center, the hub of research and development at Nippon Nyukazai, was completed in August 2012 and is located in the same site as our Kawasaki Plant.
As it is adjacent to our production facilities, the center is able to achieve highly efficient research and development.<\/p>\n
